Montana Agate Be The Sunshine Mala
Be the sunshine…
Montana Agate is up there in my top 5 stones and any chance I get to work with it, I feel honored, it’s such an incredible stone.
Found only in the banks and beds of the Yellowstone river and it’s tributaries. Believed to be about 60 million years old and created during volcanic activity that is now the national park.
Thought to help balance the mind, body and spirit, relieving physical and emotional stress. I love it’s grounding effect, adding stability and balance to my life.
This mala is traditionally made with 108 8mm beads, hand knotted between each and every one on thick, complimenting silk making for a strong and yet graceful necklace. It is wonderful addition to your meditation practice and/or worn as a beautiful beaded necklace.
The focal stone is set in fine and sterling silver, with hand stamped sun details all around it, including the ‘be the sunshine’ reminder on the back. It’s finished with a rich patina and sweet polish and adorns the front of the handmade tassel.
This lovely mala measures 40” long, with an additional 5” of chocolate brown leather tassel. The pendant portion measures 1 1/4” wide and is 1 1/2” tall, including the bail.
