Aquamarine Courage Mala
Courage, dear heart….
Aquamarine, also known as ‘water of the sea’, is a stone associated with calming, cooling, communication…and of course, courage and clarity.
As always, my malas are traditionally hand knotted between each and every one of the 108 7mm faceted Aquamarine beads on complimenting cord, making for a strong and yet graceful necklace.
This mala has a lovely addition of Washington sea glass, collected by me on a special day honoring my son in heaven. It is set in sterling silver, hand stamped with the reminder ‘courage’ on the back and adorns the front of my handmade leather tassel.
The mala measures 35”, plus an additional 5” of ivory leather. The pendant portion measures 3/4” wide, is 1 3/8” tall, including the bail and is finished a rich patina and soft polish to highlight the details.
