This Wildhorse Collection always offers me opportunities to create pieces that have a little extra substance, like my Live Edge designs, and are loaded with meaning.
I am a daughter of a wild horse mama, I see her boys running on our homestead everyday and know how happy they make her. I also know that are still wild horses running free out there in the world and I want to honor that too.
I always want to honor the grit of the girl who has the courage to stay wild, stay true to herself and has the never give up spirit. This ring is for her, for you, for me.
Made in my 5R design style of Repurposed, Reclaimed, Recycled, Redeemed and Reloved silver. It is a creative process, more lengthy than using premade materials but oh so worth it. There is meaning in taking something that lost it’s original purpose and give it new life again through fire and determination.
This wildhorse stone is set east/west instead the more traditional north/south placement…and I love it. Another reminder to focus on the horizon at the beginning and end of each day, giving thanks.
It measures just a whisper over 1” wide, is 3/4” tall and at home on that substantial live edge foundation. The wide band, also live edge, is nearly 5/8” at it’s widest and is hand stamped with the sentiment and a horseshoe. The ring is finished with a rich patina and sweet polish to highlight it’s natural beauty.
