Beautiful Ring Size 8.5

It is definitely in the eye of the beholder when it came to this stone. I saw it and had to have it, even though neither the seller (a maker retiring) or I knew exactly what it was. It was expensive, but more than that I could tell it’s quality…in the way it was cut and in the markings within the stone itself. I believe it’s a Variscite of some variety but at this point it doesn’t really matter if you love it!
I made a home for it with fine and sterling silver, making a comfortable split shank band and finishing it with a rich patina and sweet polish.
It measures nearly 3/4” wide, is just over 7/8” tall and is a size 8.5.
